MEDITATION IN ACTION
At Lakeshore Yoga we offer a streamlined profile of classes designed to balance and center you.
This class helps build a strong foundation in the alignment required to establish a strong practice. Great for new students seeking to develop a yoga practice or more experienced students hoping to dive deeper into the poses.
For continuing students with at least 6 months of Iyengar Yoga experience (or several years practice in another style of yoga).
Restorative yoga practice helps counter the stresses and strains of daily life by cultivating attention on ease and relaxation. Postures are often practised using props like bolsters, blankets and blocks to support the body.
Each class will work to balance all muscle groups’ strength and flexibility, with an emphasis on challenging the core muscles with each movement. Modifications are suggested for beginners or for those with physical limitations.
For students with minimum 1 year experience of Iyengar yoga practice, with no acute physical limitations. A series of yoga poses linked together mindfully to bring out alignment, breathe and awareness that will invigorate your body, activate your mind and lift your spirit.
For students dealing with acute/ chronic pains. This class has been specifically designed for students recovering from injuries or pain.
The teacher will be using specifically engineered props to give precise support and pressure to the areas that are stiff so they can be ‘felt’ again. The class has been structured to alleviate the tension in the body without disturbing balance and coordination thereby increasing mobility of specific body parts.
.This class offers a joyful practice for children between 8 and 12 . Yoga teaches children in a playful way how to concentrate, increase self-confidence and improve their motor skills.
