The Healing Potential of Iyengar Yoga
When Zhanna first met me, I had a shoulder injury that was affecting me in almost everything I did.
I had pain in the shoulder as well as referred pain in the upper arm/bicep area.
Zhanna gave me modifications for all the exercises, never forgetting to look over at me and check in, despite the large class she was teaching at the time.
I asked her for some additional exercises that I could do at home and she gave me several exercises that I could work on in between classes.
Slowly, but surely, my shoulder pain diminished and I now have no pain in my shoulder. I love her class, especially the smaller ones in her new studio because she pays attention to all the details and corrects my pose until it is the best that I am capable of. Thanks, Zhanna!
